Card Readers/Writers
Trident's range of card readers and writers for magnetic
cards consists of products in 3 groups:
Motorised card readers are designed for applications
where it is necessary for the card to be completely drawn
into the system, i.e. when a card may need to be retained
due to fraudulent or unauthorised use or where needs to be
written to as well as read.
Swipe readers are the most cost effective way to read
data from the magnetic strip on a card. Ideal for a variety
of applications including card payment systems, access
control and OEM POS and EPOS units.
Manual insertion card readers offer certain advantages
over the more cost effective swipe readers. They are ideal
for any situation where chip card compatibility is required,
a higher level of data needs to be read from the card or
greater read consistency is required.
